In the educational field, what we study are separated by the difficulty.
From the basics to the moderate, advanced, and the fully focused.
What we do progresses from one step to another.
That's how we can move on.
Let's say, somebody learns to swim.
The trainer would bring the learner to the safest zone.
The learner slowly gets into a bigger and deeper pool as he or she grasps on the skills.
And the target?
Probably to swim across the seven seas!
We do the same in relationships.
We start off meeting each other as acquaintances.
Eventually, we would go through stages of friends, close friends, and into a relationship.
And if possible, the relationship becomes something bigger.
Marriage.
We won't go into that topic, but something of that concept.
Many of us are living in a rather "balanced" life.
I mean, we have everything.
We have our work and studies.
We have people to talk to.
We have sufficient of food supplies.
Everything is "just enough".
A lot of us may just want things to be just enough.
Some would also perceive wanting more than enough as greedy.
Not that I'm encouraging people to succumb to greed.
But "just enough" is not what we should be with.
It's about achieving something better.
And for me, I believe there are more things to life than only "sufficient".
A very common Bible verse says this:
What does it mean?
For me, it definitely living to the fullest.
Rather than being in a safe and stable state without any growth.
And yes, here comes the question:
"How far can you go?"
It's just as what I mentioned in the first few paragraphs.
Just continue to progress.
Go deeper.
Go deeper in your life.
As what my church Senior Pastor, Reverend Kenneth Chin had received from the Lord,
This is the year that we get into deep waters.
This is the year that we focus on what we do.
To seek and save the lost in where we are - even to the extent of areas further away.
But first, we must not ponder upon the superficial.
Instead, into the deep blue sea.
God gave our Senior Pastor a Bible verse for the church theme of the year.
Bringing in an event by the waters...
Jesus said this (ref: [Luke 5:4]):
"Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
Simon and the fishermen followed it and got more fish than what they had expected.
God tells us the same thing.
"Come forth, come closer to Me."
Go for a deeper understanding of His Word.
Learn more so that you can teach others, to sharpen them.
Gain the knowledge of the Truth and grow in it.
Go for a deeper exploration.
Take a look at the innermost of the valleys.
See God where the least we may expect.
Create a deeper bonding.
Build more firm relationships with people.
Have a strong connection with God.
Grow a deeper trust.
Go closer to God and believe in Him.
Our faith in Him helps us grow, to shine for Him.
It's not the name or the title that determines if one is a believer of Christ.
It's mainly that strong faith, the deep trust that makes us Christ's followers.
Are you rooted in?

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of the drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. - [Jeremiah 17:7-8]
